In the California Redwoods home opener tonight at AT&T Park, running back Cory Ross rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown, and wide receiver Doug Gabriel had 6 receptions for 70 yards, propelling the Redwoods to a 24-7 win over the New York Sentinels.

Players Visited Boys & Girls Club and Florida Hospital for Children

Today's match-up features several playmakers from the UFL's inaugural week.  California QB Shane Boyd scored the first touchdown in UFL history when he scrambled 4 yards to the end zone to give the Redwoods an early 7-3 lead over Las Vegas.

It was great to come home to play at Sam Boyd Stadium and get the first win ever in the United Football League.
