NEW YORK, NY (February 1, 2010) – Commissioner Michael Huyghue announced today the hiring of former UFL Access principal Nation Hahn as the League’s new Director of Digital Media. The UFL will be making a series of personnel announcements over the next few weeks, including League/team executives and coaches.
“The UFL had an extensive following before ever announcing our ‘Premiere’ season, thanks to a dedicated fan site created by Nation that promoted the League and all of its developments,” said Commissioner Huyghue. “We are extremely grateful for the work that Nation and his team did covering the UFL for the past 18 months and are looking forward to his leading our expanded online presence and social media efforts.”
“I am very excited to join forces with the UFL as I truly believe in the future of the United Football League and the executives behind this venture,” added Hahn. “I am looking forward to the coming season as we launch a revamped website and a digital media presence that will provide fans with a front row seat to all of the action."
An entrepreneur and visionary, Hahn joins the UFL as Director of Digital Media. Hahn spearheaded the creation of UFL Access.com, which became the number one independent source of UFL information. UFL Access will remain an independent site and be managed by Hahn’s former partners. Hahn’s role at the UFL will be multi-faceted and include the enhancement of the UFL brand among existing and prospective fans, the production of original content for the UFL websites and the overall development of social media initiatives. Hahn began his career in development while working on the John Edwards Presidential Campaign and Linda Ketner’s Congressional Campaign. Most recently, Hahn worked with the Sierra Club in a development and fundraising capacity.
