Professional football is an all consuming business. Coaches, general managers and staff work long days all year long so that the product meets the expectations of the fans for a few months in the fall. Chris Palmer serves as both head coach and general manager of the Hartford Colonials so you can imagine how busy the United Football League is keeping him this offseason.

On March 11th, 2009 the United Football League announced Jim Haslett, Ted Cottrell, Jim Fassel and Dennis Green as the head coach of their inaugural four franchises. Two days prior the UFL had announced that the “Premiere” Season would have a game of the week shown on VERSUS.

The Hartford Colonials will proudly carry the name of the state capital of Connecticut and reflect the region’s long and distinguished history when they kick off the second United Football League season at Rentschler Field in the fall of 2010.
