The las Vegas Locos played at home at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las vegas. In the United football league the locos managed to compete in 3 championship games and won two of them. In 2009 against the Florida Tuskers 20-23 and in 2010 against Florida Tuskers against beating them 17-20, the Las Vegas side won twice in all three championship games they played however it was only in 2011 that the team lost against the Virginia Destroyers with the final score being 17-3 to the destroyers.
Jim Fassel ran, coached and managed the team through out the seasons of the UFL. The Locos were the only team that can boast that they kept there original coach, stayed at their original home stadium and city. Las vegas was chosen to have a team in the UFl because it lacked any real football team.
The UFL picked Las vegas to be among one of the first teams to play in the UFL.
The Locos were a strong team and considered one of the best in the United football league however with low attendance in some games at the Sam Boyd Stadium only 2, 500 fans turned up and facing financial problems despite how well the team was playing football the side had to fold.
