The UFL is well on its way to its “Premiere” season with our first League workouts taking place in Orlando on Saturday. Many of the athletes who attended were pumped for the opportunity to get back into professional football or were looking for their first chance to make the leap into the pros.
Nearly all of the players invited to attend the League’s workout had spent many years in the NFL while a handful of players were invited based on their previous Arena or CFL experience. The UFL continues to make progress on a weekly basis. We recently launched our re-designed website and implemented new social networking tools. We announced Dennis Green as Chair of the UFL's Competition Committee and introduced most of our assistant coaches. The UFL was also featured prominently in several publications including Sports Business Journal, The Bergen Record and The Boston Globe.
