I love the game of football. Pure and simple. I love to coach and I love the UFL. The UFL is helping players reach their potential and I believe that we are going to continue to do so for years to come. I am happy that we are going to be calling Sacramento home as we continue to build this league and organization.

When I was a young kid my father and I used to stand out in the front yard of our home and toss a football back and forth. This Norman Rockwellian-esque image is common in the United States, replacing the tradition of tossing a baseball around as football has become the dominant sport in this country. What was uncommon about the experience for my father and I was that I asked that we pretend to be playing in the United States Football League. A non-NFL league that had died before I was even born.

At the United Football League (UFL), we believe naming a team is one of the most important marketing decisions in a professional team’s history.  A team’s name is a reflection on the city, owner and fans.  It conveys the personality traits of the team… courage, strength, speed, or intelligence.  It conveys the character traits of the animal, object, culture or icon it represents.  Conjure up the contrasting imagery of the Cubs/Bears, The Fighting Irish/Hurricanes, the Ramblin’ Wreck/Volunteers or the Wolverines/Buckeyes.  Each name contributes to the personality, history and perception of these organizations. ...

We are hard at work developing and designing a new website that we intend to launch by mid-April. Our new web presence will be cleaner and easier to navigate. The new site will roll out in phases but from the very beginning the site will have increased functionality and more features. It will also have a better look, one that we hope will encourage you to visit daily.

Working for a startup football league generally means wearing many hats. This offseason I am now serving as both General Manager and Head Coach. With the dual role I have been incredibly busy - 99% of my time has been spent on moving the team to Las Vegas permanently. Last year we were the Las Vegas Locos but we only spent some of our time in the city itself. Now we’re hard at work to make Las Vegas our full time home. I’ve been in Vegas every other week working on making various deals come to fruition.
