UFL Charities, the philanthropic arm of the United Football League, will design the strategic giving plan and charity funding protocols for the League. UFL Charities identifies and supports key societal initiatives through national relationships and in partnership with sponsors, non-profits, and service organizations.
Throughout the "Premiere" Season the UFL made a number of charitable gifts and donated countless hours to local hospitals and service organizations. Last season we donated $25,000 to Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada to save the Clark County "Hall of Fame" games. The UFL also donated $25,000 to reunite National Guard families in Connecticut. As we progress throughout the off-season and head into our second season, you will see a greater presence in the local markets when it comes to our volunteering and charitable efforts.
In 2010:
The UFL joined with the city of Sacramento and state of California on Green Building: The United Football League is donating $25,000 to benefit both the city of Sacramento and the California ‘Green Building Initiative’ that promotes energy efficiency conservation, sustainability, green building and green purchasing practices.
The UFL and Omaha Nighthawks partnered with the Salvation Army to launch youth programs in Omaha: A $25,000 award from the United Football League’s Omaha Nighthawks to the Omaha Salvation Army will support two programs for Omaha’s children and teens to take place at the Salvation Army’s Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The UFL expansion team Nighthawks will kick off the 2010 season this fall at Rosenblatt Stadium.
